It’s been a pretty solid week and little time to write. Like some of you, I dig it when things are jamming on all fronts. I don’t like the chaos that swirls ’round at times, but there’s a challenge to being the calm in the middle of the storm. I feel that’s one of my missions in life—be the calm, have the direction.
Don’t always do it, but, hey, I try.
I also use a lot of commas, too.
Maybe that’s me, the comma…
When things are jamming on all fronts, it gives me a chance to practice being calm, directed. It gives me the chance to fulfill that mission. Like my instructor said this morning after kickboxing, in sparring, you develop in ways that you can only develop when in that situation.
There was a poem I attempted to memorize when our son was born:
“[If you can keep your head about you when all around are losing theirs, you’ll be a man].” It rings true right about now. Anybody know it?
OK…late for the next gig already!
